This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using relaxation technique reading Qur'an reduce stress academic students. stress. type research is quantitative research. The method used quasi-experimental, nonquivalent control design. Data analysis independent sample t test. in this amounted 16 people, 8 people for experimental and group. collection was carried out scale. Based on results study, Independent Sample T Test test produced a significance value (probability error) = 0.004. means that statistical produce sig value. 0.004˂ α 0.05, meaning there difference acquisition score treated with Al-Qur'an those who are not treated. Therefore, class average greater than (30.0010.00). Thus, it can be stated guidance techniques effective reducing students'
